The Stolen Son, Return of the Billionaire Heiress

The Stolen Son, Return of the Billionaire Heiress

Right after I gave birth, I didn't even get a chance to look at my baby. Jasper Sterling snatched him from my arms and handed him to his childhood sweetheart.

Liana's body is too weak to conceive. Just give the child to her, he said coldly.

It's not a big deal. You can just have another one later.

I lunged forward to grab my son back, but Jasper's men dragged me out and threw me onto the street in front of the hospital.

I was so weak I could barely stand, yet I was left to survive on my own without any postpartum care.

While I suffered in the cold, Jasper was out drinking with his friends, his arm wrapped around Liana.

"Don't worry about her! She'll definitely come back and beg for forgiveness. She's a woman who just gave birthDwhere else could she possibly go?"

Eventually, I did go back to admit my mistakes. But I went to my father, the wealthiest tycoon in the country.

I only returned to Jasper's world years later to handle a blind date my family had arranged.

As I climbed into the luxury car my father sent for me, a sharp voice ordered me to stop.

I looked up and realized the man in the driver's seat was Jasper. Sitting next to him was the son I hadn't seen in years.

"After all these years, you finally decided to lower your head and come crawling back?"

"But your tactics are truly pathetic. Did you see me driving a luxury car and intentionally jump in?"

Hearing his voice made my skin crawl. I frowned and double-checked the license plate.

I was sure I hadn't made a mistake. This was the car.

"Stop looking around. I know it's your first time seeing such a high-end ride," Jasper sneered.

"But this car is here to pick up the billionaire's daughter. Don't get your filth all over someone else's seats!"

As I stood there confused, the young boy sitting in the back spoke up.

"Dad, is this that low-life mother you told me about?"

"She really is just like you said. She can't even compare to a tenth of Mom Liana."

My heart stopped. I turned my head sharply and looked into his eyes. I knew instantlyDthis was my Zane!

In that moment, I forgot everything else. Overwhelmed with emotion, I reached out to pull him into a hug.

"Zane, I'm your real mother!"

He shoved me away with all his might, his face twisted with pure disgust.

"Don't touch me! You're gross!"

"I only have one mother, and that's Liana Frost."

I stood there, frozen as if struck by lightning. I never imagined the child I carried for ten months would not only refuse to recognize me but speak to me with such malice.

"Mom, you're here!"

Before I could react, Zane suddenly scrambled out of the car.

I turned around and saw him diving into Liana Frost's arms, acting like a spoiled brat.

Liana looked at me, a cold smirk playing on her lips.

"I thought you were really determined never to come back. I guess you couldn't help yourself after all."

"But you better get your ass out of this car right now. You don't belong in a seat like this!"

I rolled my eyes, finding the whole situation absurd.

"What do you mean I don't belong? My father arranged this car specifically for me!"

The three of them burst out laughing as if I had told the funniest joke in the world.

"You? A billionaire's daughter? Give me a break!"

Jasper stepped out and placed a heavy hand on my shoulder.

"Yara, since you're back, stop throwing a tantrum."

"Wait for me to pick up the heiress, and then I'll take you home. I'll keep my promise from beforeDwe can have another child together, okay?"

His words made me want to vomit.

Ever since Liana Frost entered the picture, he had turned into this monster.

Years ago, he used to be at my beck and call. He was so devoted that he acted like he'd give me his heart if I asked for it.

That was why I had been foolish enough to cut ties with my family. I had walked away from a life of luxury just to marry him.

I didn't truly wake up until I watched him steal my child with my own eyes.

I would never forget the rainy night I gave birth to Zane.

Jasper knew how much I feared pain, yet he repeatedly told the doctors I didn't need an epidural.

His reason was that he was afraid the medication would affect the baby. He couldn't let Liana raise a "defective" child.

I screamed in agony that night, while he stood outside the delivery room with a blank expression, saying nothing.

The moment the baby was out, he didn't even look at me. He just grabbed the child and left.

Because of that, I could never, ever forgive him!

I violently shook his hand off my shoulder and slapped him across the face as hard as I could.

Shock flashed in his eyes. Once he recovered, he grabbed my arm and tried to drag me away from the car.

"Don't push your luck, Yara!"

"I threw you out of the hospital years ago, and I can kick your ass off this street right now!"

I was shoved hard and fell to the ground, the pain making it difficult to stand.

Liana looked down at me from her high horse.

"Stop acting. I'll tell you the truthDI'm actually the billionaire's adopted daughter."

"I'm here to pick up my sister on behalf of my father. Don't try to crash the party. Maybe if you're lucky, I'll let you work as a maid in our mansion later."

I was confused. Since when did my father have an adopted daughter?

Liana reached behind her and pulled out a handbag, waving it in front of my face.

"My dad brought this limited edition bag back from Europe for me. A stray dog like you has probably never even seen one, right?"

When I saw the bag, my eyes widened.

Wait. Wasn't that the bag I gave to my family's housekeeper?

I remembered it clearly. I had gone through a lot of trouble to buy that bag, only to find out I'd been scammed with a high-quality knockoff.

In a fit of rage, I was going to throw it away, but the housekeeper stopped me.

She said such a pretty bag shouldn't go to waste. Since I didn't want it, she asked if she could give it to her daughter.

I hadn't thought twice about it and agreed.

I never expected to see it here today.

It seemed Liana wasn't some tycoon's adopted daughter at all. She was just the daughter of my family's maid.

"Stunned, aren't you? You couldn't afford a bag this expensive if you worked ten lifetimes."

"If you're going to be jealous, be jealous of the fact that I have a billionaire for a father and a sister who dotes on me."

Her words actually made me laugh out loud.

"Are you sure this sister of yours even knows who you are?"

She scoffed and pulled out her phone to show me something.

"Of course. I have her on my friend list. We chat all the time."

"She just doesn't post on social media much. She likes to keep a mysterious vibe."

I glanced at the screen and realized it was indeed my account.

I recognized her profile picture. This account was always sending me annoying messages trying to suck up to me.

I had simply muted her, but she was stupid enough to think I just never posted anything.

Just then, a message from my father popped up on my phone.

"Yara, haven't you found the car yet?"

"The young master from the Chen Group is already here. Everyone is waiting for you. Don't you dare skip this blind date."

Seeing my father's urge, I didn't want to waste any more time with these idiots.

Since they didn't believe I was the heiress and wouldn't let me in the car, I'd just find another way.

I pulled out my phone and called a ride-share, ignoring their stares as I prepared to leave.

But Jasper wasn't going to let me go that easily.

He blocked the car door and grabbed my arm, trying to yank me back.

"Yara Valentine, you think you can just walk away? And you're going on a blind date? No way!"

"I haven't even settled the score for you disappearing all those years. You still have child support obligations for Zane!"

I tried to break free, but Zane rushed over to help his father pull me back.

I couldn't overpower two males. I was dragged back onto the sidewalk.

After successfully stopping me, Jasper threw a few bills at the driver and waved him off.

"I thought you didn't want me as your mother? If you wanted me to get lost, why are you stopping me now?"

Jasper stared at me with that same look of disgust.

"I definitely don't want you as a mother."

"But you gave birth to me, so you have to provide for me. Mom Liana is right. You should just come be a maid at our house!"

His sense of entitlement made my blood boil.

It was clear that Jasper and Liana had spent years poisoning his mind against me.

Otherwise, he wouldn't be saying such vile things the first time he saw me.

Realizing they weren't going to let this go, I knew I needed help.

I dialed my father's number.

"That brat threw you out back then, and now he's harassing you?"

"Wait right there. I'm sending a bodyguard nearby to teach him a lesson!"

After hanging up, I sat on the curb and waited.

"Calling for another ride? Give it up. Just accept your fate as our maid."

"Sure, you'll have to watch me, Jasper, and Zane live happily as a family, but it's better than the miserable life you're living now."

Liana covered her mouth as she giggled.

I ignored her. Once my father's man arrived, she wouldn't be laughing.

Sure enough, a few minutes later, a man in a black suit and sunglasses approached us.

I stood up to signal the bodyguard.

But before I could raise my hand, Liana beat me to it.

"Dad? What are you doing here?"

I realized something was very wrong.

The bodyguard my father sent was actually Liana's father.

It turned out her entire family was working for my dad.

"The boss called me. He said the young mistress was having some trouble nearby and told me to come help."

"Wait, you guys haven't seen her yet?"

Liana glanced at me, a wicked smile spreading across her face as she pointed a finger.

"We haven't seen any heiress, but we did find a shameless liar."

"This is Jasper's ex-wife. She's actually claiming that she's the billionaire's daughter."

"Dad, she even tried to hit me just now."

Her blatant lies caught me off guard for a second.

The bodyguard turned to me, his eyes filled with a terrifying intensity.

"You're the one who tried to steal my daughter's man years ago, and now you're back to bully her?"

"I guess I need to teach you a lesson!"

He began rolling up his sleeves, looking like he was about to get violent.

My heart tightened. This was bad.

I had asked my dad for backup, but I had accidentally walked into a trap.

Just as the bodyguard's fist was about to swing toward my head, his phone rang.

My father's voice boomed from the other end.

"Have you picked her up yet?"

The man stopped mid-motion and scanned the area again.

"Boss, I don't see the young mistress anywhere."

Taking advantage of his distraction, I lunged forward and shouted into the phone.

"Dad! I'm right here next toD"

Before I could finish, Jasper slammed his hand over my mouth.

"Yara, stop causing trouble! We're talking about a billionaire's daughter. You can't just fake that!"

"I'm doing this for your own good. If you offend a man that powerful, you're dead!"

The bodyguard hung up. I saw my chance and bit Jasper's hand hard. He yelped and let go.

I was already running late, so I looked Jasper in the eye and made myself clear.

"I'm over you. Stop being so full of yourself and thinking I'm here to apologize."

"Since you think I'm here for you, fine. Consider me here for a divorce!"

Even though I had been gone for years, we had never officially filed the paperwork.

This was the perfect time to end it. Once we were legally divorced, he'd finally understand I wanted nothing to do with him.

"Fine! Let's do it right now!"

He answered without hesitation.

"I'll watch you keep up this act! If you really wanted a divorce, why didn't you file during all those years you were missing? I bet you just can't let me go."

He turned to the bodyguard.

"Sir, since there are many of us here, why don't you wait for the heiress?"

"I'm going to go finalize this divorce. It'll give your daughter the peace of mind she deserves."

He agreed to the divorce, and I wasn't about to back down.

Soon, we arrived at the government office.

I signed the divorce settlement without a single moment of hesitation.

Jasper stared at the paper, looking stunned.

"I didn't think you'd actually be this heartless."

"Fine. I don't care if you've given up on me, but I know you'll never give up on Zane!"

I had to admit, in the beginning, I couldn't bear to leave him.

But after seeing my own flesh and blood treat me with such cruelty, that attachment had vanished.

I decided to treat it as if I had lost the baby during that difficult labor years ago.

"A pair of ungrateful wolves like you two? Why would I miss that?"

"I've never been happier to be rid of you."

I took the divorce certificate and turned to leave.

Jasper moved faster, blocking my path.

"No!"

"Stop being petty. From now on, I'll tell Zane to call you Mom too, okay?"

"Besides, you're not young anymore. You're a divorcee with a kid. That blind date won't lead to anything."

He reached out and took my hand, his tone softening significantly.

"It's okay. There's a thirty-day cooling-off period for divorces. We can cancel it right now. Let's just tell the clerk we changed our minds."

When I tried to pull away, he grabbed the divorce certificate from my hand and ripped it into tiny pieces.

Then, he used a commanding tone:

"Yara Valentine, I said we aren't divorcing!"

"As long as you're married to me, you aren't going anywhere!"

As he spoke, a black sedan pulled up in front of us.

The door opened, and my father stepped out.

"Yara, are you trying to dodge the blind date I set up again?"

"I told you to go meet him, and you end up at the divorce court?"

"I already told the young master from the Chen Group that the date is postponed for today."

"But he seems very interested in you. Before he left, he said if you ever change your mind, he's ready to meet whenever you are."

Seeing my father in person, I immediately hid behind him like a little girl.

"Dad, it's not that I didn't want to go. This ex of mine won't stop harassing me."

"And the people you sent to pick me up are completely useless."

"I've been standing right in front of them this whole time, and they couldn't even recognize me."

Jasper's face went pale.

He had only come here to accompany Liana while she waited for the VIP.

He never imagined that I was the actual billionaire's daughter.

"Yara... you really have that kind of background?"

"We were together for so many years. Why didn't you ever tell me?"

I actually heard a hint of accusation in his voice.

"I cut ties with my father just to be with you. What was there to tell?"

"But looking back, all I can say is that I regret every second of it."

Liana had grown tired of waiting and walked over with Zane to see what was happening.

When she saw a middle-aged man standing with us, she looked confused.

Jasper quickly pulled her aside and whispered in her ear.

"Liana, take a look. Is this man really the billionaire?"

"You said he was your adoptive father, right? But he didn't even recognize you. He must be a fake!"

"Yara probably hired an actor to trick us since she was so insistent on being the heiress..."

Overhearing their conversation, I let out a small smirk.

Oh, so she was the one bragging about being my father's daughter?

How come she didn't even recognize him when he was standing right there?

Liana froze, stealing glance after glance at my father.

From her blank expression, I could tell she had never actually met him.

She had probably just taken some of our family's discarded trash from her mother and used it to act superior.

Suddenly, as if a lightbulb went off, she pulled out her phone and started searching for something.

After comparing a photo on her screen to my father, she said with total confidence:

"Yara Valentine, I know you want to look good in front of Jasper and Zane, but did you think about what would happen when you got caught?"

"Look, this is the real billionaire. You're just taking advantage of the fact that Jasper hasn't seen him to play these games!"

Zane looked at me with pure disdain.

"You're so embarrassing! Thank god I've been with Mom Liana since I was born, or I'd be just as stupid as you."

Jasper sighed.

"I've known you for years, Yara. I know you inside and out. Why do you have to lie like this?"

"I think I've been very sincere with you. Why do you have to be like this?"

I leaned over to look at the photo on Liana's phone and frowned.

Then, I burst out laughing.

The man in the photo was definitely rich, but he wasn't the billionaire.

He was the CEO of a rival group who was always causing trouble for my father.

Liana pointing at that man and calling him her father was probably going to make my dad explode.

Sure enough, my father's jaw tightened as he looked at the photo.

"I think all of you have lost your minds!"

"So you're the home-wrecker who ruined my daughter's life and stole her child? Good. I'll remember you."

Liana didn't seem scared at all.

"Old man, I think you're a little too into your role. I already exposed you, so why keep acting?"

"And how did I steal her child? Jasper gave him to me willingly. Besides, Zane clearly prefers me as his mother."

Zane nodded along immediately.

"That's right. I chose to stay with Mom Liana. She's the only mother I'll ever have."

If I hadn't carried Zane for nine months myself, I would have really doubted he was mine.

The way they acted was identical.

Equally arrogant, and equally shameless.

My father's face was a mask of fury, and when he looked at me, his eyes were full of disappointment.

"This is the son you gave birth to?"

I felt a pang of guilt and shook my head.

"It's fine. This kid is already rotten after being with them. I don't want him anymore."

Hearing that, he seemed to relax a bit. He cleared his throat and looked at the three of them again.

"Fine. Since you're so sure I'm a fake, I don't mind broadening your horizons."

"But I remember you now. You're the daughter of my bodyguard and housekeeper. They've mentioned you before. They were the ones who begged for a chance for you to pick up my daughter."

"I didn't expect you to be so incompetent."

He pulled out his phone and made a call, his voice booming with authority.

"You don't need to pick up my daughter anymore. I've already found her."

"Also, get your ass down to the divorce court right now. I want you to see exactly what kind of monster you've raised!"
